After finding Bandcamp on MySpace, I received a friend request from a music page called Lion of Ido. I listened to this almost non-stop that week before Warped Tour. When Ido approached me to hand me a flyer, I immediately knew who I was looking at. I was instantly a fan of his music and we just as instantly became friends. Meeting him after hearing his band just strengthened how much I loved it. Since then I've been to a bunch of his concerts, both on Long Island and in NYC.
Ido created Lion of Ido after his old band, Last Week, split up. This split also resulted in the creation of Lights Resolve, which I also like, but doesn't sound so original the way Lion of Ido does. Later on, I set up a concert with Lion of Ido at my college, which was cancelled on account of my college being (in professional terms) stupid. I also showed up to be an extra in the music video for their hit song "Hard to Love". To this date, this band is by far one of my favorite bands in existence.
